Week 3

    Summary This week's project required the group to build, design, and program three robots. The robotic arm was built from the vex robotics kit in order to create an autonomous, stationary prosthetic arm that will be able to grab a cup, without crushing it, move, lift, and rotate it so the paper inside slips into another cup. The process for the Lego robot was to use a LEGO Mindstorms robotics kit to design and build a robotic device that performs the task of following a predetermined path to escape a building after a disaster. It must navigate on a path designed by students and get around and sense obstacles that are in its way. Lastly, we were asked to tackle the task of programming an iRobot that searches a simulated room containing obstacles (cinder blocks) for survivors after a disaster.
